One major issue is that I maintain what I consider a “channel” on FB, a group… but it is limited in exposure to friends. I have had had exactly two outside requests to join in two years. No incentive to put any time or effort into quality of writing. Just share share. It does offer the benefit of (on laptop) allowing me to go back and read articles I found interesting. So its essentially a cloud news scrapbook.

Also, when you are on device it is very hard to find interesting articles, etc. again unless you somehow happened to save it at the exact moment it first appears in your feed, before refreshed.

Instead of a simple, intuitive navigation system to access content I want to view again, I can often never find items again. Compounding this, I wade through repeating posts that need to ultimately be blocked because what was at first novel becomes annoying upon repeated exposure.

This is why I came up with the Fabric concept. There is room for a new curated, sustainability focused social media platform that doesnt dumb down USX.
