Thanks! I will take that course, although nominally against the type of music or written content that gains mass followers. Refuse to smile for the camera, all that. Instagram? 100,000 followers? no thanks.

I can’t focus when thinking about 10 followers, much less what I really have to write. What is required of me as an artist.

There must be other ways of assigning value to content than likes, shares, across breadth of social networks. That’s what I address clumsily (so far) in the Medium and the Missing… series.

Timestamp on Medium of one’s creative ideas (cloud novels, movie synopsis) seems to me its most valuable function, in protecting future IP. I have had many ideas from the old endurancewriter blog poached.

Medium, as I see it now, is like a ledgered holding service. I will shift the content to whatever platform curates and values original content in the future––compensating fairly without putting writers and creatives who don’t want to interact (much) through the whole social media/followers rigamorale.

The real thing now is to get this film concept Great Pacific Garbage Patch to the eyeballs of those who are creating stuff for the right reasons.
